Course Outline

An informative series on the actual performances of our daily worship, known as The Personal Obligations. In Fiqh, they are referred to as Faraa’id ul ‘Ayn. The Study Circle is based on the acclaimed scholar Nu Ha Mim Kellar’s translation of the Shafi’i classic Umdat as-Saalik and the Hanafi classic Nurul Idah and Mukhtasar al-Quduri, and other Classical Fiqh references.

This study circle is highly recommended for anyone interested in enrolling in the Foundations Diploma in Islamic Sciences and Foundations Diploma in Usool ul Fiqh offered by al-Ghazzali Centre.

Course Outcomes:
Upon completion of this series you will:
       
  • be able to fulfil the requirements of Purification, Prayer (including travel requirements) and fasting
       
  • be able to understand the elements of Personal Obligations
       
  • be able to practise your daily worship properly
       
  • have an introduction to what Fiqh entails

The Theory & Practice of the Personal Obligations (2) offered in 2009, will include Zakaat and Hajj.
